Rove opens his mouth, removes all doubt
Karl Rove’s mouth is operating while impaired. But when was that not so, exactly? He says we are DOOMED in November, and that even Texas is no better than a leaner.
Karl Rove is called The Architect by Hannity and all the GOP pundits and Beltway ruling class for reasons that elude me. Oh yeah, I remember. Because they are as stupid as he is.
The camp that includes Boehner and House leadership, McConnell and Senate leadership, the FNC brain trust, RNC leadership, Krauthammer, Coulter, Morris, Luntz, and Country Club Republicans all across the fruited plains, they all have one view of America. They don’t believe, down in their hearts, that conservatism can win elections, and they are deathly, deathly afraid of the national media. They believe the Tea Party movement actually cost us 3 Senate seats in 2010. They believe that if elected conservatives take a stand instead of settling for “the best deal we could get,” then we will get killed in the media and actually lose the majority in the House (as if they actually DID anything with their current majority). And they think Rove is a strategic genius.
This view is substantially at odds with that of huge masses of Americans who in 2010 sent an indelible message by trouncing the Democrats and tossing out no small number of Vichy Republicans. That message didn’t say “get the best deal you can,” and that message shouted far louder than the voices of the media.
And anybody that thinks that Americans are LESS tired of the Obamanistas, and less angry with the timid GOP, than they were in the fall of 2010, is dumb. D-U-M-B. As in, couldn’t spell cat if you spotted him the C and the A.
Texas is a leaner, for Pete’s sake. Sheesh.
Let’s talk about what an architect Karl Rove is, and what an iconic figure he has been in national politics the last 15 years. Because he certainly IS an architect and he certainly HAS made a difference.
It was Rove’s 50%+1 electoral strategy (endorse Specter over Toomey, etc) and his “hunker down and don’t respond at all as the media savage conservatism, make crap up, and define the narrative” strategy that left all elected Republicans twisting in the wind when they tried to do the right thing, and was most responsible for the disasters of 2006 and 2008.
Because of that colossal jackass, and I do lay it at his feet, we are to this day colored by BushLied ™, waterboarding, illegal war, wireless wiretapping, the horrible Bush economy (yes, that of the 4.7% unemployment), Republican culture of corruption, and so on. Because Bush, as head of the party and movement, leader of the free world, and the guy with the bully pulpit, never fought back against the media. And he refused to do so at the behest of Rove.
Karl Rove as some kind of brilliant pundit is, like Rick Santorum, completely a creation of FNC. He’s just as big an idiot as, and is in league with, John Boehner and the rest of the Beltway cowards.
