Boehner to barack: excuse us for trying to lead
I just don’t like Boehner historically. He’s done us wrong too many times. But MAN these days are just trying me. You’ve heard so much about these discussions between House leadership (Boehner and Cantor) and the Obamanistas. I’ve understood that Senate Dems and Repubs, as well as House Dems are also in attendance. But this thing is a deal when and only when Boehner and barack agree to something.
Maybe you’ve heard that the much-anticipated Sunday meeting lasted for 75 minutes.
Think about that. 75 minutes. barack is the biggest time-wasting talker you ever heard. He can take 75 minutes to answer a question in one of his pressers. You may have also heard these meetings were contentious, and that barack in particular has left in a foul mood. You know what this means. It means that punk-boy has been getting blowback, that these minions are up in his grill. He fancies himself a great persuader, and he’s getting nothing.
Are you loving it? Because I sure am. Any time barack is PO’ed then something good is happening for America. But I just love this exchange. This dog is fighting. And having some fun with it.
Boehner said at one point that “it’s clear to all of us how big this spending problem is. Congress keeps voting for programs we can’t pay for. But look, entitlement cuts aren’t easy for us to vote for either. Our guys aren’t cheerleading about cutting entitlements.”
“Your guys already voted for them,” the president said, referring to the budget offered by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wisc.
“Excuse us for trying to lead,” Boehner said.
