OK, I don’t hate Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN). But I sure don’t appreciate him. He’s a poster boy for the Republican Establishment. He’s the #3 Republican in the Senate, one of the worst of the “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory” gang, he’s frequently found near the word “bipartisan”, a noted lame-duck session compromiser, and according to my understanding, one of those who works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure the DeMint-Coburn-Lee-Rubio movement never reaches orbit.

On the flip side, he’s there for us when it comes to talk. He was a noisy opponent of ObamaCare, and after voting against the Republican Party to ratify the ridiculous START Treaty in the Lame Duck Giveaway, he lamented how Democrats had “poisoned the well” by jamming unpopular bills down America’s throat.

When Lamar learns to embrace the word “filibuster”, and just once in his life marinate in the term “drive a hard bargain”, THEN I will feel like listening to his gas.

Yesterday, he wrote an Op-Ed for the Wall Street Journal, quite an eloquent one, railing against Obama’s NRLB applying the jack boot to the neck of Boeing for having the temerity to expand operations into a right-to-work state, yet another sign of an increasingly imperialistic Obama administration.

I like what he had to say. I don’t like him saying it. You know why? Because that essay constitutes the sum total of all that Senator Lamar Alexander intends to do about the NRLB. Talk, talk, talk. Never take the gloves off, never take Reid or Schumer out behind the school bus and go knuckles to skull.

I have a rejoinder to Sen Alexander.

Hey, gasbag. We GET it. So do the evil Dems. They are actively trying to block the freedom and prosperity agenda. You are not going to persuade them to stop with a nice newspaper op-ed. You are one of the very worst comity whores, establishmentarian, media-fearing navel-gazers we have. For once, why don’t you shut your pie hole and do the job the good citizens of Tennessee elected you to do.

How about forcing Reid to allow those 4 NRLB members to be hauled in front of committees to explain their labor ties and the rationale for their complaints and rulings in front of America. In the Senate, 46 minority members can impose a whole lot of will on the majority. All it takes is…… some grit. Some character. Some belief in your principles.

So how about filing ethics complaints, and joining the House on impeachment proceedings on those criminals. How about blocking every single nomination or bill until the mountain starts moving. And while you are at it, Holder, Napolitano, and Salazar sure have a whole lot of explaining to do as well.

How about it, Lamar. You packing any real heat, or is it just the usual gas with you?
